We are proud to present Deb Mullen as the new Zone Sales Manager for the Upper Midwest. Deb will be a key asset for our customers with her 25 years of experience in the Fluid Power Industry. She is a Certified Fluid Power Specialist and received her diploma in Fluid Power from Hennepin Technical College.

As a native of Southwestern Minnesota, Deb spent most of her childhood working on the family farm. Deb is kept busy by spending time with her four children and four grandchildren. Deb and her husband John enjoy the outdoors, especially riding their Harley Davidson Motorcycles to new and interesting places.

The Muncie System Protection Device has gone through an upgrade. The new SPD-1001A directly replaces the SPD-1000A. Our new SPD-1001A is capable of being connected to both a 12 Vdc circuit or a 24 Vdc circuit without making any changes. The circuit recognizes the input voltage and operates properly. As the inventory of the SPD-1000A is exhausted it will be replaced by the SPD-1001A on any open orders.

The SPD-1001A has the same through-put current limit of 5 amps, so any application requiring more than 5 amps will need to be run though a relay. None of the Muncie solenoid operated PTOs require the 5 amps, so this control will work with either the 12v PTO or the 24v PTO. If you have your PTO connected to other devices, you may need the relay controlled options. The SPD-1001B has a 12v relay built into the wiring harness and the SPD-1001C (special order) has a 24v relay built into the harness.

Q: Does Muncie have a PTO in development for the recently announced 2011 Ford TorqShift 6R140 Transmission?

A: Muncie has been working extensively with Ford to develop a PTO for use on the 6R140 transmission. We are currently testing units in conjunction with Ford and are in the process of finalizing the product design. Muncie will be sharing additional information in the coming months as the project progresses.

Our FR66 series PTO will be available at or before the release date of the MY2011 Ford Super Duty chassis.
