MPP's Commitment to You

The arrival of 2009 has brought our industry new and previously unforeseen market challenges. Muncie is working to position itself as the supplier partner most able to help your business capitalize on opportunities in a contracting sales environment. MPP continues to outpace the industry in product delivery and supply chain management. Our focus on "Lean Enterprise" will allow us to continuously improve our processes and supply you with the products you want at the time they are needed.

What is Lean Enterprise?

Lean enterprise must start with a conscious attempt to precisely define value in terms of specific products with specific capabilities offered at specific prices through a dialogue with specific customers.

Lean enterprise goes beyond the organization to look at the whole: the entire set of activities entailed in creating and producing a specific product, from concept through detailed design to actual availability, from the initial sale through order entry and production scheduling to delivery, and from raw materials produced far away and out of sight right into the hands of the customer. The organizational mechanism for doing this is what is called the Lean Enterprise, a continuing conference of all the concerned parties to create a channel for the entire value stream, dredging away all the non-value added activities (waste) towards perfection.

Question of the Month

Question: Are 2008 or later 3500, 4500, and 5500 Series Dodge Chassis with the Aisin 6-Speed Automatic Transmission able to operate in both stationary and mobile PTO modes?

Answer: The answer to this question could be either Yes or No. When ordering this chassis it is important to specify to the dealer which PTO mode is to be pre-programmed, Stationary or Mobile. The PTO wiring for both Stationary and Mobile operation are identical. However, the chassis will only operate in the pre-programmed mode. If the chassis is pre-programmed for Stationary operation the PTO will disengage when the chassis is shifted from the Park position. A chassis programmed for Mobile operation will operate while in Park, Drive, or Reverse. For Mobile operation the PTO must be engaged with the transmission in "Park", then the selector can be moved to "Drive" or "Reverse".
